Examinations of the vaccine were tested on rats, the results were successful in preventing and shrinking tumours that its creator believe that testing the vaccine on women by next year is not out of the question. Dr Vincent Tuohy an immune system expert at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, claims that the results could be “monumental”. The vaccine is thought to be possibly able of preventing up to 70% of breast cancers. There are also hopes that, with further development, techniques like this could be effective against other types of cancer.
